Our kids program offers self-defense and Jiu-Jitsu for children ages 7-15. By teaching students different techniques and having them work in a wide range of common situations, they are able to make educated decisions, protect themselves and make physical progress. Grappling is not all fun and games and this incredible workout demands disciplined efforts if one is to make progress. It involves physical demand, mental awareness and coordination. Out of the effort and discipline needed to learn Jiu-Jitsu, children will learn valuable lessons about such things as humility, self-control and perseverance. They don’t learn these things by winning a game or receiving a new belt, but by self-awareness and control of mind and body.

“I have three kids that train at Precision. From their very first day, they were in love with a sport, finally! Rob Scheier is everything you would want in a teacher and mentor, and Chris Petersen is a fantastic instructor for the kids. Somehow, Chris manages to get through to them with his patience and incredible personality.”

“So BJJ is not a team sport? Well if you ask my son he will tell you differently. Matthew joined the Precision Kids competition team coached by Chris Petersen and absolutely loves it. Coach Chris creates an environment that allows the kids to excel. He has the perfect blend of serious but fun which is part of the culture at Precision. These kids push each other every day; then support each other like you wouldn’t believe at competitions. Precision is simply the best!”
